The boom continues
We found out this weekend that the baby boom around us has expanded yet again. Our friends Dan and Linda are expecting their first sometime mid next year. It has also just occured to me that I haven't mentioned the Amanda (Mels sister) and Damien are also expecting, only 10 weeks behind us.
Testing the new gear
Over the Melbourne Cup long weekend (a four day weekend for some of us), we went up to our usual camp spot at big river, but this time with a whole pile of new gear!
Mel and I decided a while ago to get a new tent. Not just any old tent, the biggest one we could find! We ended up getting ourselves an Outdoor Connection Galaxy 2 tent. A 6m x 3m beast with a bedroom either end (with own entrances) and a common area in between with the main entrance. We also purchased a queen read more »
We are the champions.
Well...What a weekend this has been. Saturday was the Spring Ball and Dance-O-Rama for Victorian Arthur Murray Dance Studios, and a day Mel and myself have been working toward since our return from the honeymoon in April.
The day started off just like any other Saturday. Mel went out to run some errands at the shops and I stayed home to mow the lawns. Mels parents arrived at lunch time with some baby stuff, we had a bite to eat, and then left for the venue in Forest Hill.
After the pre-requisite meet and greet on arrival we stashed read more »

It’s another boy
This must be the season for boys to be born. Pauline and Wes have recently given the world Liam. Big cheers for them. Liam was born a healthy weight even though he was prem and suffering from kidney problems. Lets hope that gets all fixed up and he can come home soon. From what Mel has said he is just cute as a button. Madeline is also very excited about having a little brother to play with.
Babies Update
Well...It seems I need to add more babies to the list! I found out today John and Chantelle are due about the same time we are, or just a few days before. And I completely forgot about Dave and Suze who are due around about now! I also forgot about Wes and Pauline who are having their second next week in not so desirable circumstances. Lets hope everything turns out well for them and little Madeline (our flower girl) gets a healthy baby brother or sister.
Mel and I went to visit the Mercy Family Birth Centre on read more »
Babies everywhere…
Its starting to seem like there is a baby boom happening amongst our friends. Kris and Michel gave the world Jasper a bit over a week ago, and he's doing really well, as you can see from the picture.
Mel decides to remind me tonight that Lloyd and Vanessa are due in 13 weeks...We'll have to make the effort to get over the bridge and visit them before Nessy pops.
I decided to visit a few of our friends web sites to see what was going on in their lives and much to our surprise we discovered that Andy and Steph read more »
New Baby
On Wednesday July 20 at 11:58am (EST) our good friends Kris and Michel were blessed with the birth of a healthy baby boy - Jasper Daniel Kowalski (no relation to the swimmer).
He was 3.1kg (or 6lb 14oz for you oldies and those unfortunate enough to live in a country which hasn't adopted the metric system) and measured 48cm. Absloutely perfect.
Michel is doing well and is expected to be back home on Sunday.
We will try to keep putting up photos for those family members (not ours, the Cengia's) who are unfortunately not in Melbourne. There is a special read more »
More wedding photos
We have started to put more pictures of our wedding up today. These pictures have been taken by our attendants and guests and put a sligtly different slant on the day. Its actually quite interesting to see what different people think is worthy of photographing.
At the moment we have just uploaded all of the pictures. We will go through them as time permits and cull out the really bad ones.
